Crash & Burn? No!

So, Monday came and as I feared, Nathan's 4-day acupuncture high was gone.  He was back to his strength from the prior week.   Tuesday, same thing.  UGH.  But, as it turned out, it was just a couple of days of needed rest.  Tonight, on our walk, he was a fireball!  He was practically running.  He set a new distance record by a bit.   He's even starting to choose to walk in the house sometimes instead of just scoot.

It's much better now that the temperatures are getting cooler here in Florida because its so much easier on him when he's not overheating.   I'm sure this is helping us quite a bit.  Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

  1. Way ta go, Nathan! You'll be runnin' in the weenie dog race before long. I mentioned before about our previous Doxie (Ginger) paralyzed by IVDD. Ginger also had a son (Bart) who inherited this disease. Bart had a total of 3 major back surgeries and was expected to be paralyzed also. But he fooled everyone. Our vet called him his "little miracle dog" because he should not have been able to walk due to all the spinal damage. But....Bart was walking and never stopped. He had a very slight limp, but hey....that was just fine. He was normal in every other way. Now, Nathan, you will be the next "little miracle dog".

  2. 3 surgeries!!?? Yikes, I can't imagine. What was your experience with potty control? Did either or both of these sweet babies have issues with this? It appears that this will continue to be an issue with Nathan. Not that I have given up yet!!!!

  4. Sometimes you just need a break in the weather to feel bouncy.
